If you are a seasoned aircraft inspection leader looking for a new challenge, we have an opportunity for you! As a Chief Inspector III, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and directing inspection standards, methods, and procedures for multiple, larger, more-complex Repair Station operations and ensure compliance with applicable regulations (FAA, EASA, DCM, etc.), all environmental health and safety policies/procedures, and manufacturers requirements. You'll certify aircraft airworthiness after inspection by signing aircraft releases and ensure that all inspections with regard to scheduled maintenance, aircraft modifications or component changes are performed to ensure that approved equipment and materials are being utilized and high standards of workmanship are being attained.Qualifications You Must Have:
B.A. (or equivalent degree) - a higher level degree may substitute for relevant experienceTypically, 6+ years of progressive aviation experience, which includes 2+ years of management experiencePrevious Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) experience with heavy wide-bodied aircraftAbility to understand and interpret complex technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals and/or publicationsComprehensive understanding of troubleshooting techniquesActive, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant certification and Inspection Authorization (IA) DesignationAdvanced experience and knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment and partsProficiency in audit and inspection processes and proceduresThe ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is requiredQualifications We Prefer:
Previous management or lead experience; the ability to recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competenceBackground in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US MilitarySNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
