As an Chief Investment Office Associate, you will be based in Pittsburgh, PA. This position is primarily based in a PNC location. Responsibilities require time in the office or in the field on a regular basis. Some responsibilities may be performed remotely, at manager’s discretion. Position will be in the office four days per week, Monday - Thursday.
This is a quantitative developer (Desktop/Cloud) position within the Chief Investment Office group. Developer will have the opportunity to work directly with traders, portfolio managers and the Enterprise Chief Investment Officer. The ideal candidate will have a well-rounded skill set that includes cloud (Kubernetes/AWS) infrastructure, computer science aptitude, finance/accounting and fixed income knowledge, interpersonal skills, and the ability to provide simple/practical solutions for improving investment performance and risk management. A successful candidate will have an opportunity to develop in-depth knowledge in PNC IT Infrastructure, Software Development Cycle, Cloud technology, fixed income market operations, treasuries, Mortgage Servicing Rights, structured products, and interest rates derivative products (Swaps, futures, options, treasuries, Residential/Commercial Mortgage, Asset Backed Securities, and corporate/municipals bonds).
Preferred skills:
A computer science/math/engineering focused degree is preferred.
• Willingness to learn new programming languages, frameworks, technologies stack.
• DevOps Skills
• Git commands, git pull/push, forking, branching strategy. GitOps, Environment promotion processes
• languages in, Golang, Bash, C/C++, Python (Pandas, Numpy, SciPy, Scikit-learn)
• Understanding of different frameworks
• Continuous Integration/Delivery Deployment pipeline (Jenkins preferred)
• Experience in docker and container application development (Kubernetes/OpenShift preferred, Helm Charts preferred)
• Application Unit testing, performance monitoring, and other testing
• Project technical documentation. Maintaining high standards of code quality
• Database experience in Microsoft SQL, Oracle
• Interest in Fixed income products, interest rate products and derivatives
• Ability to summarize ideas and present to management
