Position:Chief Medical Officer, Population Health Services

Position Summary:The Chief Medical Officer, Population Health Services is responsible for shaping and implementing population health strategies that result in improved patient outcomes and operational efficiencies. The Chief Medical Officer, Population Health Services will act as a thought leader and key advisor, helping our clients mature in the value-based care space and ensuring the success of our population health strategies. The Chief Medical Officer, Population Health Services has accountability and oversight of the Pharmacy and Quality functions, ensuring that pharmacy operations, cost optimization, and quality initiatives are effectively managed and integrated into the overall strategy.

Job Description:

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership:Drive the strategic vision for population health services across the Enablement business, ensuring alignment with Lumeris’ overall mission and goals.Serve as a thought leader and industry expert in value-based care, guiding clients through the complexities of this transformative model.

Clinical Performance Improvement:Lead initiatives to enhance clinical performance across client partnerships, focusing on quality, outcomes, and efficiency.Utilize data-driven insights to identify areas for improvement and implement evidence-based strategies to address clinical gaps.

Client Partnership and Support:Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders and clients, acting as a trusted advisor in the adoption and execution of value-based care models.Provide clinical expertise and support to clients, helping them to navigate challenges and achieve their population health objectives.

Physician Engagement and Leadership:Build and maintain strong relationships with CIN Medical Directors and clinical executives at client organizations.Guide the alignment of physician incentives, quality measures, and value-based contracts to enhance engagement and performance.

Clinical Program Development:Act as an internal consultant for developing and implementing clinical programs and special projects, addressing client needs with strategic and evidence-based solutions.Oversee the design and execution of clinical practice transformation and care delivery models.

Innovation and Best Practices:Promote and champion best practices in population health management and value-based care across the organization and client base.Stay abreast of emerging trends and innovations in healthcare delivery, integrating new approaches into Lumeris’ offerings as appropriate.

Operational Excellence:Oversee the implementation of clinical programs and initiatives, ensuring they meet high standards of quality and effectiveness.Monitor and evaluate the impact of population health strategies, providing regular updates and recommendations to senior leadership.Guide pharmacy operations and medication management strategies to ensure optimal clinical outcomes and adherence to industry standards across health plan and value-based care enablement initiatives.Drive pharmacy cost optimization efforts, identifying opportunities for cost savings while maintaining or improving quality of care.Ensure rigorous quality management and continuous improvement driving enhancements to patient care and operational efficiency.

Team Leadership and Development:Lead and mentor a team of clinical and operational professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, continuous learning, and excellence.Encourage and support professional development and growth within the team.

Qualifications:

Medical Degree (MD or DO) & Board CertificationCurrent, unrestricted medical license15+ years experience in clinical leadership roles, with a deep understanding of value-based care models and population health management.7 + years of successful clinical practice experienceDemonstrated track record of driving clinical performance improvement and achieving measurable outcomes in a value-based care environment.Experience in pharmacy management, cost optimization, and quality improvement is preferredStrong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to influence and lead change at both operational and executive levels.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and collaborate effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.Experience with data analytics and performance measurement in healthcare settings.#LI-REMOTE

The hiring range for this position is:

$276,800.00-$413,600.00
