The Network News team at TelevisaUnivision is looking for a Chief Meteorologist to join our team! The ideal candidate should be certified, and love weather and meteorology. This candidate will work collaboratively with our news producers, assignment desk, reporters, across the country and with the meteorologists at the National Weather Service.

YOUR DAY-DAY:

Produce and effectively present daily forecast for linear and streaming broadcastsDevelop strategies for multiple dayparts, identifying opportunities to produce content for specific newscastsClearly communicating weather forecast and risk for potential active weather across platformsConceive creative graphics and execute them on air and onlineWork in supportive role with graphics producer to help produce contentCoordinates with news department to produce news coverage across all network shows of active weather eventsProduce and share content specifically designed for digital platformsWork in supportive role with other meteorologists to help produce content

YOU HAVE:

College degree in meteorological sciences or equivalent technical training in a meteorology-related institutional setting10+ years of experience as a meteorologist, on-air in medium to large size marketsWell-versed in the latest weather technology, including WSI MaxFlexibility to work any shift including overnight, weekends and holidaysExcellent oral and written communication skills in English and SpanishCBM/NWA seal is desiredKnowledge of synoptic meteorology, tropical and radar forecasting toolsMust be willing to work from office in Miami, FLMust be willing to travel as needed
