Chief Nursing Officer

Under the direction of a designated senior leader, the Chief Nursing Officer organizes and administers areas of Patient Care Services and the provision of nursing care and education to attain the facility's objectives established by the governing authority.
Annual Salary Range: $280,321.60 - $413,483.20
Qualifications
Education:
Requires a Master's degree in Nursing or a Bachelor's degree in Nursing and a Master's degree in related field.
Experience:
Requires at least five (5) years of progressive management in healthcare with at least two to five (2-5) years experience as a VP of Patient Care Services/CNO.
Certification/Licensure:
Must possess a current Arizona RN license.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Must have proven communication skills, both written and verbal, and demonstrated leadership ability.
Must be experienced at recruiting, developing and motivating people in leadership positions.
Must have a working knowledge of health and hospital system organizations and operations, administrative standards, regulations, and best practices.
Must have demonstrated competence in service line management, streamlining and coordinating clinical services beyond traditional boundaries of discipline and department specific performance improvement including the integration of clinical, quality, and financial outcomes.
Requires demonstrated experience in facilitating and implementing a strategic planning process with specific outcomes.
Must be able to communicate effectively with health system leadership, its partners (including medical staff leadership), and administrative staff.
