Responsibilities Advises the District Commander (DE), Deputy District Commander (DDE), Deputy District Engineer for Programs and Program Management (DPM) and other executive senior leaders in all areas of management and administration. Exercises staff supervision over the district level support offices to include public affairs, small business, internal review, equal employment opportunity, safety, training management and workforce development. Is responsible for staff coordination and integration of other staff offices including resource management, legal services, real estate, and contracting. Provides enterprise level support including logistics, human resources, and IT. Tracks, manages, and synchronizes efforts toward meeting corporate level goals and objectives for the monthly Corporate Board and District Senior Leaders meetings. Plans, coordinates and executes District Staff Office meetings and integrates division level involvement to cover the full range of management advisory services and technical functions performed by the district support offices. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience monitoring manpower levels, program schedules, and budgets; and experience advising or coordinating with entities and customers at varying levels internal and external to the organization, such as internal offices, project managers, local, state, and Federal government agencies, stakeholders, congressional parties, and the general public. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Communications Leadership Planning and Evaluating Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13). Education Additional Information Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 5 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
