Salary Range: $76.15/hour - $98.52/hour
Job Summary:
Supervises and provides leadership to optometrists, eye care support staff and optical dispensing staff in facilities throughout the region. Must integrate knowledge and experience between the areas of Optical, Optometry and Ophthalmology.

• Supervises and provides leadership to optometrists, eye care support staff and optical dispensing staff in facilities throughout the region. Must integrate knowledge and experience between the areas of Optical, Optometry and Ophthalmology. Directly supervises optometrists throughout the Colorado region.
• Provides leadership by building relationships, promoting teamwork and engaging providers, supervisors, and staff in the decision making process.
• Assumes financial performance and budget responsibilities for the Department of Optometry as well as the regional Eye Care Department.
• Ensures efficient workflow and daily operations within the Optometry Department to include coordination of provider schedules.
• Ensures staff compliance with professional work standards and competency with eye care techniques, practices, and equipment by utilizing departmental and company policies and procedures and other available resources. Assists in the coordination of training and educational opportunities to promote developmental growth.
• Addresses and resolves customer service issues after frontline efforts have failed.
• Partners with physicians, administrators and other essential personnel outside of Eye Care.
Experience
- Two (2) years of work experience as an optometrist. Education
- High School Diploma OR General Education Diploma (GED) required. License, Certification, Registration Optometrist License (Colorado) Optometric DPA Certification (Colorado) Optometric TPA Certification (Colorado) National Provider Identifier required at hire Additional Requirements:
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to supervise and manage the administrative activities of staff optometrists.- Working knowledge of optometry laws, regulations and standard practice.- Effective organizational, oral, written communication skills and interpersonal skills. Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of work experience as an optometrist preferably in a managed health care group practice system preferred.
