The Deputy Athletics Director/Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) for the Department of Athletics at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is responsible for overseeing and optimizing revenue-generating operations and growth strategies through various revenue streams amid transformational changes in college athletics. Carolina Athletics is transforming its approach to revenue growth, and this role represents a unique opportunity to set strategy and establish an innovative approach to sourcing, cultivating and securing a diverse and reliable portfolio. The CRO will take a comprehensive and innovative approach to harnessing and maximizing existing revenue streams while pursuing and unlocking potential new avenues and opportunities across multiple revenue producing sources to better support our student-athletes. This will be accomplished through strategic vision and leadership in revenue generation, successful negotiation of contracts, strategic planning, goal setting, fundraising, community engagement and sport program oversight. This position works closely with the Director of Athletics and the Athletics Executive Team and is at the center of all revenue-related activities.

Minimum of bachelor’s degree required (or foreign degree equivalent) with at least five years of experience in a revenue- generation role, with experience in corporate sponsorship, partnership development, with a proven ability to conduct market analysis and implement strategies that drive successful revenue growth.
