Reporting directly to the President of Gallagher Global Brokerage- Select – U.S., the Chief Sales Officer will join our senior leadership and have accountability for leading all aspects of the sales and revenue operations for our Small Commercial and Personal Lines businesses across the U.S.. This role involves developing sales strategy, strategic partnerships, leading and developing our inside and outside sales teams, revenue operations, and ensuring the teams are equipped with fit for purpose data, technology, and resources to support organic growth. How you'll make an impact Growth Planning and Sales Execution Develop and implement a strategic growth plan to double Select revenues over the next five years Establish sales targets and quotas for the sales team Analyze trends, client needs, and cross-selling potential to identify opportunities for growth Partner with marketing to execute sales strategies, fill the top of funnel and increase overall conversion metrics Personal involvement in big deal, strategic partnerships Leadership and Management P&L accountability directly tied to achieving overall growth and operating budgets Develop and lead a high-performing inside and outside sales teams, ensuring they have the vital skills and incentives to meet sales targets Compensation design, calculation and reporting Foster high-performance sales culture Monitor and evaluate performance, providing feedback, coaching, and development opportunities Sales Operations and Analytics Develop performance metrics directly tied to the achievement of revenue budgets Prepare sales forecasts, reports, and manage budgets to ensure efficient allocation of resources and focus Implement sales processes, tools, and technologies to drive efficiency and sales effectiveness Promote the usage of data-driven insights and tools for sales targeting and cross-selling opportunities Client and Internal Relationship Management Represent Select Sales for merger & acquisition opportunities across both Select and the greater Gallagher enterprise Work collaboratively across the Gallagher Enterprise to drive sales effectiveness, lead generation and maintain strong internal relationships Partner with Gallagher Center of Excellence to ensure continued innovation to support sales efficiency and maximization of revenue generated per employee About You BA/BS degree or equivalent in a relevant field is required. MBA or other relevant advanced degrees preferred. Strong executive presence and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to partners, clients, senior management and stakeholders 12+ years of relevant experience in Insurance and brokerage sales with emphasis on high-volume selling environments (inside sales & outside sales) Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. This includes experience in various stages of the sales process, from lead generation to closing deals Extensive experience leading and managing a team, including goal setting, providing feedback, and fostering a high-performance sales culture Prior experience leading revenue operations, including sales forecasting, performance metrics, and sales process optimization Track record of working with cross-functional teams, such as marketing and client service, to improve overall customer experience and satisfaction #LI-CS1 Compensation and benefits On top of a competitive salary, great teams and exciting career opportunities, we also offer a wide range of benefits.
