Chief Scientist
\nHoneywell’s ACST Team is seeking a Chief Scientist for our Golden Valley, MN or Broomfield, CO locations. This role will report to our Director of Engineering Research and will be partnered with a Chief Systems Engineer and Chief Development Engineer to execute program strategy. As a Chief Scientist here at Honeywell, you will play a pivotal role in guiding research teams and projects. You will be accountable for providing expert technical guidance to cross-functional teams, ensuring the successful execution of projects. Your role will involve driving innovation, fostering technical excellence, and shaping the long-term technical strategy of Honeywell.
\nKEY RESPONSIBILITIES
\n\nProvide overall Environment & Infrastructure (E&I) group technical direction and vision in collaboration with Senior Chief, peer Chief Engineers, Core Leads, and Functional and Program leaders by balancing deep understanding of long-term technical and product development needs while balancing requirement to deliver immediate technical deliverables.\nPartner with the engineering teams in E&I to define and execute research effort\nMentor and developing junior engineers and scientists\nDevelop and integrate comprehensive research strategies that are aligned with technical objectives in the E&I roadmap and IPTs.\nCollaborate with senior experts and external partners to address key scientific questions, resolve technical challenges, and incorporate new technologies, and serves as the E&I technical representative and consultant to other top-level experts and organizations.\nProvides top level technical objectives and theme, requirements (digested from one or more SOWs), key constraints and guardrails, key milestones with dates, key dependencies, key risks and opportunities.\nCreates a technical integration plan across the Core Leads, and deconflicts Core Lead plans, projects and technologies.\n\nCOMPENSATION & BENEFITS
\nThe annual base salary for this position is $178- $222. Please note that this salary information serves as a general guideline. Honeywell considers various factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidate's work experience, education and training, key skills, as well as market and business considerations.
\nThis position is incentive plan eligible.

\n\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, science, technology, mathematics, or a related field\nMinimum 15 years of technical leadership experience\nAbility to travel up to 30%\n\nWE VALUE
\n\nMaster’s degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineer, Electrical Engineering, Physics, Material Science, or related field.\n20+ years of experience in research & development, engineering, manufacturing or a related field\nMechanical system and cryogenics experience are significant pluses\nExcellent ability to evaluate and understand business objectives and interact effectively with internal/external customer leadership\n\nABOUT HONEYWELL
