Specific Responsibilities:

Partner with the Regional Director, and leadership team to effectively communicate and achieve project goals.Ensure that services and outcomes are accurately tracked and reported timely.Lead staff through organizational change and transitions.Engage employees in effective performance management; provide continuous feedback to facilitate employee development and optimal job performance. Implement best practices, create SOPs and continuously assess for process improvements; ensure employees are equipped with the necessary training and tools to be successful in their roles.Review and submit accurate, timely reports to the County.Provide policy guidance and feedback to Child Care Supervisors and Payment Supervisor.Support the professional development of Child Care and Payment leadership teams and the staff they supervise.Provide hands-on coaching, mentoring and professional guidance to employees.Engage with PCG’s senior management team, County personnel and community partners in a professional, courteous, confident and timely manner.  Participate in the hiring process as positions are vacated.Collaborate with all program stakeholders to identify training needs.Must be able to commute between four offices in the Central, South Oxford, H Street and East regions.

Required Skills:

Background overseeing Stage 1 Child Care and Payment service programs.Experience in successively managing and leading employees to achieve desired program outcomes and performance.Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and provide leadership within a fast-paced, intense, high-volume environment.Ability to communicate program objectives and policies to external and internal stakeholders.Superior communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.Experience successfully communicating with and leading diverse work teams.  Experience engaging and maintaining strong working relationships with community partners.Ability to develop and evaluate processes and procedures to improve operations.Exceptional strength in strategic thinking, analysis, problem solving, process improvement, organizational leadership, and collaboration.Demonstrated ability to establish and execute defined goals and objectives to ensure compliance with performance measures.Excellent conflict resolution and de-escalation skills.Compassionate and people oriented.Ability to travel between PCG service areas and sites to provide leadership and guidance.

Required Education and Experience:

A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited U.S. college or university, or a certified foreign studies equivalency; significant related experience may substitute for the educational requirements.  AND at least five (5) years of full-time experience leading and/or coordinating teams in a childcare, human services and/or social services field.Proficient with MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Previous experience with multicultural staff and customers is a plus.Previous knowledge in CalWORKs and/or human services is not necessary, but desired.

PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: 

$63, 300 - 119,800 yearly and a potential discretionary bonus up to 10%.

Compensation:

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.  As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role below. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role, including medical and dental care benefits, 401k, PTO, parental leave, bereavement leave.
