Child Development Teacher

The Early Childhood Teacher works as a team member to provide a safe and secure environment to enhance a child's social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development as part of our National Accredited for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC) Early Childhood Development Center. The Teacher is responsible for co-teaching with other educators in the center, organizing and planning a developmentally appropriate curriculum based on center's philosophy and NAEYC accreditation guidelines and Community Care Licensing Requirements for al age-groups in the Early Childhood Directions Program.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree Early Childhood Education or Related Field. And  Coursework/Training 24 Semester units of Early Childhood Education Including all CORE classes + Infant and Toddler Development Class. Child Development Principles & Practices in ECE Introduction to Curriculum The Child, Family & Community 3 Units of Infant/Toddler Development Supervised Field Experience Coursework/Training Current/Valid California Commission on Teaching Credentialing - Teacher Permit. And upon hire: Background Check Clearance by the CA Department of Social Services - (CPMB) Care Provider Management Bureau, (DOJ) Department of Justice and Child Abuse Central Index - No convictions related to child abuse, offenses against persons, sexual offenses, child neglect, felony offenses involving controlled substances, or any other offenses bearing substantial relation to the qualifications, functions of duties of an employee of a child care facility. 2 years Working with preschool age-children. 6 months Supervised Field Experience in Early Childhood Setting. 6 months Working with Infants and Toddlers.

Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree Early Childhood Education or Related Field.
