Child Outpatient/School Based Therapist

POSITION PURPOSE: The Child/Adolescent Therapist provides psychotherapy for clients within both the school and office settings. The role requires the clinician to be comfortable and confident working with individuals exhibiting mental health symptoms and their families. The Child/Adolescent Therapist will assess clients, determine a course of treatment, and implement the treatment plans for clients while providing clinical interventions and resources. This role requires close collaboration with families, treatment providers, the internal treatment team, and educational organizations, to achieve client goal progress.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Provide psychotherapy, psychoeducation, and clinical interventions for clients and parents/guardians when applicableComplete biopsychosocial assessments to determine client’s strengths, needs, and diagnosisComplete documentation within the electronic health record in congruence with organizational policies and regulatory requirementsEngage with parents/guardians to strategize methods of supporting client goal progress and wellbeingCollaborate with members of the treatment team, school partners, community members, and third-party providersAttend and participate in clinical, administrative, and community partner meetingsOther duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALILFICATIONS:

Master’s in Human Services and 1 year of care delivery experience. Graduate degree from a college or university that is accredited by an agency recognized by the United States Department of Education or the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) in a generally recognized clinical discipline in which the degree program includes a clinical practicumPre-Employment Drug ScreenAccess to reliable transportationAct 33/34/114 Clearances

Work Schedule: This is a Non-Exempt (hourly) position Monday through Friday, primarily 8:00am-4:00pm, with two evenings available per week for office-clients.
