**Job ID Number** R2977 **Employment Type** Part time **Worksite Flexibility** Onsite **Job Summary** Child Welfare Field Coach to provide onsite coaching to caseworkers and supervisors through practice shadowing and feedback. **Job Description** We are looking for a **Program Specialist** to provide onsite coaching to caseworkers and supervisors through practice shadowing and feedback **.** This position will be **part-time** **contract** and **hybrid in** **Honesdale, PA.** **What You’ll Do** + Assist County Children, Youth and Family Services with the development and implementation of the County CYF training program, formal practice coaching program and new employee on-boarding process + Provide Field-level coaching strategies including individual coaching sessions with Caseworkers; group consultation;quality reviews of assessments, plans, field work, and family staffing;participation in staff meetings; and facilitating in-house trainings and workshops for staff + Facilitate team decision making processes to model the integration of the Consultation and Information Sharing Framework into processes + Develop and provide support for staff mentors + Aide employees with developing effective scheduling and work practices, completing quality casework and case documentation, and developing and implementing situational safety awareness and protocols + Be available as a resource and subject matter expert in program areas, providing technical guidance to staff + Meet with Caseworkers, Supervisors, and management level team members to establish goals and desired outcomes pertaining to skills, tools, and techniques staff members would like to utilize and improve upon + Provide one-on-one coaching to staff in field situations such as home visits, court proceedings, family meetings/staffing + Provide in-office coaching to staff focused on identifying, practicing, and enhancing technical skills he/she will use to engage children and families + Provide Caseworkers with access to one-on-one coaching, focused on improving critical thinking skills and developing risk statements + Help Supervisors develop their coaching skills so they can effectively coach staff members and plan for future coaching activities + Evaluate the training program and communicate recommendations to administrators for improvement + Perform other related duties and responsibilities, as required **What You'll Need** Required: + Bachelor's Degree in the field of Human Behavioral Science is required + Five years of professional Child Welfare Casework experience is required, including at least 2 years of experience as a casework supervisor, casework manager or program specialist + Master’s Degree in Social Worker may be substitute for 1 year of non-supervisor or non-management required experience + Proof of education and licensure, where applicable, are required + Strong written and verbal communication skills and techniques for report writing, correspondence, providing customer service, giving presentations, public speaking, directions, and feedback + Knowledge of adult education principles and the ability to provide training to groups and provide one-on-one coaching for caseworkers, supervisors, and teams + Ability to prepare and deliver large group oral presentations + Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing + Ability to coach and mentor individuals who may need support with emotional intelligence, conflict resolution, de-escalation technique and self-care strategies + Ability to establish, maintain, and foster positive, harmonious working relationships + Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft Office Suite products + Possess the ability to develop and present training materials + Pennsylvania Child Welfare Casework certification is required + Possession of a Pennsylvania Driver's License and proof of automotive insurance are required + Background Check: Must pass a criminal background check and drug screening **Physical Demands** + Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state, and local standards + Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc. + Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor. **Reasonable Accommodation Statement** If you require a reasonable accommodation in completing this application, interviewing, completing any pre-employment testing, or otherwise participating in the employment selection process, please direct your inquiries to application.accommodations@cai.io or (888) 824 – 8111. **Equal Employment Opportunity Policy Statement** It is the policy of CAI not to discriminate against any employee or applicant due to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, marital status, genetic information, disability or being a protected veteran.
