The Childbirth and Family Educator prepares, plans, and implements birth and family educational courses designed for pediatric, adolescent, and adult participants utilizing designated curriculum and following appropriate teaching principles. Performs all duties in a manner which promotes and supports the Core Values of the Sisters of Providence. Provides competent consideration appropriate to the patient population: school age, neonate, adolescent, infant, toddlers and adults.

Required Qualifications:
Associate's Degree or equivalent education/experience National Provider BLS - American Heart Association Advanced certification for childbirth educators (ICCE) Maintains ICEA membership or equivalent annuallyPreferred Qualifications:
1 year experience in teaching staff, patients and family member Other Childbirth Educator certifications can be considered such as, CAPPA, Lamaze, etc.Why Join Providence?
