POSITION SUMMARY:
This position plays an integral part in carrying out the Core Values and Brand Pillars of Boreal Ridge Corporation, including Boreal Mountain Resort, Woodward Tahoe, and Soda Springs Resort. Instructors at BRC are our Passionate People who make our Innovative Environments accessible to our guests and bring our Dynamic Programming to life! BRC Instructors understand that the lesson begins as soon as the guest arrives and may include assisting guests from the point of purchase, through fulfillment, rentals, and gearing up with all Snowsport necessities including PPE, appropriate lift access and products, and actively guides them through all preparatory steps before even getting to snow. Instructors Play Safe by understanding, upholding, and bringing awareness to the NSAA Responsibility Code, BRC Skiing and Riding Policies, and Own Their Zone by ensuring Snowsport zones are properly set up and taken down each day and communicate any grooming requests. Instructors are role models for our guests and uphold BRC policies, procedures, and values, leading by example to ensure the highest industry standards are being met in every aspect of our operation.

Essential Functions & Major Responsibilities:
Lead and delegate set-up and take-down tasks in Meeting Areas and Learning Zones, teaching tools, animations
Excellent Guest Service, clear communication, friendly and welcoming
Responsible for Children’s Group Lesson operations
Maintain efficient Lesson Check-in / Check-out at Children’s Lesson Corral
Assist instructors with challenging children/groups
Communicate professionally with parents
Ensures effective lesson deliveries to all types of guests
Responsible for daily assigning and recording of instructor tasks
Support and guide front line team members in delivering high quality, friendly guest services.
Effectively communicate and coordinate the execution of company initiatives with direct reports and teams.
Technical Skills:
PSIA / AASI or related certifications preferred
Strong understanding of ski/snowboard skills and progression
Strong understanding of the Lesson Cycle and ability to teach lessons and lead training clinics
Effective, friendly communication via email, phone/radio, and in-person
Experience with industry standard platforms such as RTP, Intouch, Flaik, is preferred.
Provide timely and appropriate feedback to instructors of lesson quality and opportunities for improvement
Utilization of tools and machinery related to Snowsports including hand tools, power tools, and snowblowers
Additional:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
Walking/Standing in Ski and/or Snowboard boots on irregular and slippery surfaces
Ability to bend, kneel, handle, reach, grasp and perform repetitive motions
Able and willing to shovel snow
