Key Responsibilities
Provide high-quality care and support to children with disabilities during structured activities and outings.Support children in managing behaviours of concern, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.Assist in planning and facilitating engaging activities that promote social, emotional, and physical development.Work collaboratively with other team members to deliver consistent and effective care.Maintain accurate records of activities, incidents, and progress as required.Follow safeguarding policies and procedures to create a safe environment for children.
Working Hours
Term-Time: 8.5 hours per week, split across: Saturdays (all day).Tuesday or Thursday evenings (4:00 PM - 9:00 PM).School Holidays: 37 hours per week or on an ad hoc basis.Typical hours: 8:45 AM - 5:15 PM (rota/hours discussed at interview).
Skills and Attributes
Patience, empathy, and understanding of the needs of children with disabilities.Strong communication and behaviour management skills.Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and work flexibly.Physical fitness and enthusiasm for active engagement.Knowledge of safeguarding and health and safety protocols.Teamwork and collaboration with a commitment to professionalism.Driving license (preferred) for commuting and facilitating activities.
