Responsibilities
Join Mayo Clinic’s Spine Center in Rochester, Minnesota as a Chiropractor. At the Mayo Clinic Spine Center, experts from Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Pain Medicine, Neurology, Neurosurgery and Orthopedic Surgery work together to diagnose and treat complex spine conditions. The Spine Center offers an opportunity for Chiropractors to work independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team approach, where they play a vital role in providing specialized spine care.
In the Spine Center, as a Primary Spine Provider (PSP), the Chiropractor provides care of both simple and complex spine conditions. Provision of care includes performing comprehensive patient assessments and physical examinations, developing a differential diagnosis, ordering, conducting, and interpreting diagnostic tests, and providing treatments. This position requires the utilization of spinal manipulation and mobilization techniques as well as IASTM or other manual based approaches to therapies in combination with exercise and lifestyle education.
The Chiropractor will be involved in patient and family education of disease management and treatments. They will be involved in research and educational activities within the Spine Center.
Qualifications
Doctor of Chiropractic required.
Postdoctoral training in manual therapy/soft tissue techniques, directional preference exercise, and rehabilitation.
