CHMC-Lifeline-Lifeline/Auxiliary Assistant– Full Time- Day Shift –7a-5p (8-hour shift in this range)- Requisition 8118
Pay Range: $21.46-$27.90*

The Lifeline and Auxiliary Assistant provides assistance in enhancing the Lifeline program which serve seniors, individuals in crisis, those with disabilities, and others in need. Provides assistance with programs to enable older and vulnerable individuals to live securely and maintain a high quality of life and independence. Responsible for information and referral services, installation, deactivation, and servicing all Lifeline medical equipment in the subscribers home. Provides clerical support to the lifeline/auxiliary department and performs office receptionist duties. Works in coordination with Auxiliary members and the Auxiliary Board of Directors by providing outreach and fundraising support as needed.

EDUCATION:
Required:
High school diploma or equivalent with two years experience servicing the geriatric community
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
Required:
Valid NYS Driver’s License
Must have dependable transportation for back up when company car is not available (mileage reimbursement paid when using personal vehicle)
TRAINING and EXPERIENCE:
Required:
Proficient computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including data bases
Proficient communication skills and ability to deal efficiently and effectively with a variety of personalities
Exhibit proficient organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision and exercise sound ethical judgment
Ability to take initiative and utilize appropriate resources to attain information and answer questions and/or concerns
Proficient customer service skills
Exhibit proficient time management skills and ability to prioritize assigned tasks
Ability to resolve concerns promptly and efficiently
Ability to implement and support procedures and programs pertaining to patient safety and security
Experience with adult/geriatric health care population
Required to travel all rural roadways in St. Lawrence County in all weather. Some travel to Franklin, Lewis, and Jefferson counties
Must be able to lift, bend, pull, crawl etc to move machinery in and out of vehicles and homes/buildings in order to install them
Must feel comfortable working closely with volunteers and participating in fundraising event
REQUIREMENTS: Extensive bending, lifting, standing, walking
