Internal Posting Dates: January 31, 2025-February 5, 2025 CHMC – Laboratory-Pathology Specimen Processor – Full Time- Mid-Combo Shift – 1p-9p- Requisition 8255 Pay Range $19.52-$22.86* A Pathology Specimen Processor, under the direct supervision of a Medical Technologist, performs specimen processing functions, with appropriate labeling and identification, for distribution to designated areas for testing. Responsibilities include data entry and retrieval functions using automated and/or manual systems, centrifuging and decanting specimens, maintaining inventory of laboratory supplies; including ordering, receiving, and distribution, retrieving and delivering specimens to the lab, organizing specimens to be sent to reference lab, following recommended procedures for universal precautions. Assists in the Phlebotomy Department when needed and performs venipuncture on all patient populations and know appropriate methods of collecting blood specimens. Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Prior experience in a laboratory setting preferred. BLS Certification required. *The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future.
