CHMC –Physician Office Receptionist – Full Time- Day Shift – Requisition 6552
Requires a self-directing individual to assist the staff of hospital outpatient services to provide an inviting, welcoming environment in which clients may receive desired services with maximum confidentiality, privacy, efficiency and effectiveness. Interacts with clients, guests, staff and consultants with respect and discretion. Supports the operations of the service with highly developed administrative, organizational, record-keeping, clerical and interpersonal skills. Can organize and work effectively with a broad scope of multiple tasks. May be required to float to other offices or clinics as needed. Scheduled shifts will fluctuate and vary dependent on operational needs. Schedule may include up to two weekends per month. Must adhere to Business Casual dress attire.
Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. Two year degree or equivalent experience in secretarial science, business, or related field, preferred. Familiarity with medical terminology preferred. Valid Driver’s License. Ability to organize and work efficiently with multiple tasks. Demonstrates friendliness, respect and helping attitude with patients, visitors, guests, and staff. Computer skills including word processing/spreadsheet/data base program; desk top publishing desirable, Familiarity with medical terminology. Requirements: Standing, Bending, Lifting, Walking.
