Christmas Kettle Driver

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Kettle Driver supports the Red Kettle Campaign by delivering and picking up kettles, employees, aprons, and bells to each kettle location on their assigned route.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

At least 21 years old Pass a criminal background check Possess a valid Washington State driver’s license and pass Motor Vehicle Background Check Pass TSA driver safety training course Comfortable safely driving in all weather conditions and at night Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision Exhibit excellent interpersonal skills, with emphasis on effectively working in a team environment Must be able to work in a fast paced environment under the pressure of deadlines Working knowledge of smart phones and Bluetooth technologies; phone provided Available for flexible schedules Monday through Saturday

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:

Responsible for route preparedness; ensure there are enough kettles, bells, aprons, and time cards Deliver kettle, bell, apron, and time card to bell ringers at each route location; occasionally drop off employees Ensure kettle stands are in the proper place at each route location Pick up and secure full kettles, aprons, and bells when switching shifts or for the end of the day Verify time card accuracy and validate by signing; place completed time cards into the full kettle Ensure assigned vehicle remains clean

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:   

Sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist on an intermittent or continuous basis Grasp, push, pull objects such as files, file cabinet drawers, automobile doors, and reach overhead Lift and carry 50 pounds on a regular basis (example: Kettle totes/collection bins, etc.)
