The Opportunity 

Select Fluid Power is looking for a skilled Chrome/Polisher Technician to join our team in Langley, BC. As the Chrome/Polisher Technician you will primarily be responsible for operating an industrial polisher.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities 

As the Chrome/Polisher Technician your key responsibilities will include:  

Ensuring safe and effective operation and maintenance of the polisher Achieving surface finish requirements for chrome plating, and light duty pre-polish & finish polish Operating the strip tank Identify correct jigs and fixtures for stripping; rig, jig and de-jig components Identifying materials: stainless, steel, induction hardened, cast iron, bronze, brass, and spray weld Understanding and practicing safe work procedures, quality policies, and environmental policies

Required Skills & Qualifications 

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills, knowledge, and competencies:  

At least one year of prior experience working in a chrome shop Proficiency with micrometers for external measurements Prior experience with hydraulic cylinders  Forklift and crane operation experience  Welding and fabricating experience an asset Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills

The base pay range for this role is: $28.00 to $45.00 per hour based on experience.

This is an onsite role based in Langley, BC.
