MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
With appropriate support and training, receives assignments and reviews claim and policy information to provide background for investigation and may determine the extent of the policy’s obligation to the insured Contacts, interviews and obtains statements or performs onsite inspections related to claims of customers Inspect and appraise damage for property losses or arranges for such appraisal Evaluates facts to determine extent of a loss of our customer and execute the policy’s payment Prepares reports on investigation, settlements, and individual evaluation of involved parties Reserves for expected claims and recommends reserve changes to Team Leader Reviews progress and status of claims with Team Leader and enacts solutions Assists Team Leader in developing methods and improvements for handling claims. Job is work from home but local travel to loss sites for onsite inspections is required a majority of the time. Limited travel to catastrophe sights outside of local area Safely inspect roofs when conditions warrant and ability to carry a ladder.Ideal candidates will possess a two- or four-year degree, trade school or vo-tech training, an apprenticeship, a technical certification or translatable work or military experience or success in a job that requires critical thinking, hard work and ingenuity.
