We invite passionate individuals to join our team, dedicated to exceeding customer expectations through innovative and sustainable solutions. **THE ROLE** : The **Continuous Improvement Manager** will be responsible for driving the development and implementation of the Continuous Improvement (CI) projects consistent with and in support of the strategic plan and business operating plans. The CI Manager will work with leaders to identify, modify, and sustain desired changes including reducing waste and improving inefficiencies. Lead projects and initiatives from idea generation to strategic execution. This position will own the Lean Maturity assessments and improvement initiatives for the site or for multiple sites. We offer a full benefits package to include Flexible Time Off (FTO) for salaried positions, health, dental, vision, investment savings plan, and additional miscellaneous benefits. **CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:** To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty with expertise and independence. + Using expert project management skills, drive the development and implementation of Continuous Improvement projects in support of the strategic plan and business operating plan. + Create, organize, communicate, and facilitate multi-day kaizen events & CI workshops with cross-functional teams, ranging from shop floor to executive leaders. + Must be highly accomplished in facilitating process mapping, 5S, VSM, and standard work projects with cross-functional teams. + Take a lead role in identifying opportunities for continuous improvement via idea generation and prioritize improvement opportunities with the management teams. + Analyze data against KPI’s, highlighting trends and analyzing causes of unexpected variance. + Must be strongly accomplished at using standard tools, systems and formats to present data and reporting information in an efficient and accurate manner. + Act as a lead change agent in all aspects of work, supporting and leading others through change. Mentor and coach employees to realize benefits from all continuous improvement initiatives. + Perform root cause analysis processes to identify underlying causes of problems or issues within the organization. + Influence and engage others in support of CI projects and programs. + Develop, implement, and monitor lean training programs based on the site Lean training initiatives. + Live our culture and exemplify our Growth Enabling Behaviors to be highly inspired to innovate, highly empowered to lead and highly accountable to deliver. + Participation in Xylem Watermark volunteer activities. + Must be in successful in achieving goals on the following metrics: + CI Savings for site. + CI Engagement for site. + CI training delivered for site. **QUALIFICATIONS** : + BS/BA Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field. + At least 8+ years of successful planning and execution of continuous improvement / Lean / Six Sigma efforts. + Must have earned or be in process of completing Lean or Six Sigma Green Belt certification. + Must have achieved Lean Apprentice status and Gold Lean Practitioner level. + Demonstrated experience in planning and facilitating workshops, kaizens, and training events. + Ability to coach / mentor / inspire. + Excellent oral and written communication skills. **DAY IN THE LIFE** **:** In this role, the working environment is a mixture of shop floor and office areas, and the physical demands may include but are not limited to sitting, standing, driving, reaching, bending, lifting <35lbs, and moving about the facility. In addition, this role may require travel up to 75% and occasional off-shift hours to support business needs. **SALARY** : The estimated salary range for this position is $109,465 to $144,880 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
