About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Control Management Officer to join the Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Commercial Real Estate (CRE) Control Management Team. This is a highly visible strategic leadership role with an opportunity to lead and develop key risk priorities to support the CRE businesses, involving collaboration with CRE front line banking teams in region and in the United States, coverage teams within CRE Control, stakeholders in the CRE Chief Operating Officer, and partners across CIB.

The role will focus on providing leadership via escalation and management awareness forums as well as execution support for control programs including Issues Management, Risk and Control Self-Assessment, New Business Initiatives, and control development and documentation.

In this role you will:

Manage and provide business control support to the CRE Chief Operating Office for issues and corrective actions, operational risk events, and control development and implementation work impacting multiple CRE businesses or service unitsManage Risk and Control Self-Assessment activities for select risk assessable units within CRE, including workshop facilitation and support, ongoing monitoring routines, evaluation of maintenance triggers, change requests, etc.Participate in and support the execution of risk governance, escalation, meeting, and reporting routines for CRE, including for issues management and operational risk eventsCreate management reporting and presentations, including developing and managing reporting content and routines for periodic updates to senior leaders, business management meetings, risk and control committees, and ad hoc requestsProvide control management support as needed for exams, testing engagements, issues, operational risk events and projects impacting multiple CRE businessesFacilitation of engagement, communication, and development activities for CRE Control, including managing activities, routines, and toolsLead other special projects as needed to support the control management function in CRE and CIB, including representing CRE Control in select CIB-level forums


Required Qualifications:

7+ years of Risk Management or Financial Services Industry experience, or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education


Desired Qualifications:

Prior experience in a business control, audit, or compliance role with a focus on governance, reporting, issues management and/or operational risk event managementDeep understanding of the risk management framework and all associated risk programsWorking knowledge of Corporate & Investment Banking businesses, its products and services, and relevant risks and controls of the businessExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and experience in articulation of risk both verbally and in writing to various levels of staff and managementAbility to translate and summarize complex data into understandable, actionable information and recommendations and to adapt messages to target audienceDemonstrated ability to lead, influence and achieve results in a highly matrixed environmentDemonstrated ability to expertly leverage available tools to achieve goals (Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, etc.)Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to adhere to strict deadlines in a challenging environmentAbility to prioritize and to adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needsAbility to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
