CIB Enterprise Strategy Leader

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Enterprise Strategy leader to lead and help drive strategic initiatives and programs from strategy development to execution in partnership with Senior CIB leaders.   This leader will be responsible for establishing the strategic direction of the business that aligns to the immediate and long term goals by assessing current and future state and establishing the action plans to execute.


In this role, you will:

Work directly for the CIB Head of Strategy and Transformation and will be responsible for spearheading thought leadership and strategic planning across a range of topics relevant to CIBPlay a critical role in the enterprise strategic planning processPartner with stakeholders (e.g., CIB CEO and LOB heads, Business COOs) to develop Board and OpCo materials, business reviews and strategic plans Develop and consolidate ‘house views’ on topics impacting CIB and help drive our responsePartner with LOBs and functions to address critical strategic issuesManage and develop teams of less experienced managers and professional individual contributorsIdentify opportunities and strategies for improvement (e.g., processes, risk)Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale planningReview and analyze complex larger-scale or longer-term challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factorsMake decisions in complex situations that influence and lead the broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiativesDevelop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy


Required Qualifications:

8+ years of Strategy and Planning experience or equivalent experience demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education4+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

8+ years strategy and planning experience within CIB Banking, Markets and/or Commercial Real Estate businesses4+ years of experience managing a team of direct reports, being responsible for staffing, team development, and other management related activitiesExperience leading equivalent large scale transformative efforts at peer institutions and/or as a third party advisorExperience partnering with critical Senior Executive and Business Operations stakeholdersExperience with workforce planning, cost management, and budgetingDemonstrated understanding and use of change management, process improvement, product development and project delivery methodologiesOutstanding problem solving and decision making skillsAbility to develop long-term vision and strategic plans, anticipating future market changes and adapting accordinglyProficiency in using data analytics tools to identify insights and inform decision-makingExcellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner

Job Expectations:

Ability to travel up to 10%May be considered for a discretionary bonus, Restricted Share Rights or other long-term incentive awards

Pay Range
 

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
