CICS Systems Programmer - REMOTE

JOB SUMMARY

This position is for a CICS Systems Programmer and a member of the Mainframe Systems Support team that will primarily be accountable for ensuring a highly available mainframe system. This results-oriented job requires a solid understanding of mainframe sub-subsystems in a large scale parallel sysplex IBM zEnterprise environment. The primary functions of this role are: 1) Install, upgrade, and manage CICS/MQ environments 2) Support the IBM Z Mainframe z/OS environment using SMP/E and 3) Install and maintain third party software products related to CICS/MQ

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES

Serves on teams in clearly defining, with the customer, requirements, deliverables and timeframes.  Escalates issues and makes recommendations to resolve them to the appropriate audience.Conducts root cause analysis to identify and resolve complex problems impacting IT Infrastructure.Develops and/or delivers technical training in complex technical areas.Completes project tasks to enable the on time, within budget and scope delivery of IT Infrastructure projects. Assures compliance to required standards, procedures, guidelines and processes.Other duties as assigned or requested.

QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum

High School Diploma or equivalent  is required1-3 years of experience in Information Technology

Preferred

Experience in the following essential: z/OS concepts and utilities, TSO, JES2, SMP/e, JCL, RDO, DFHCSDUP and IBM Utilities
