CIRC - Wellness Programs Coordinator (Temporary)

This position is 25 hours a week, working between CIRC Communities in the King County Area. Mileage will be reimbursed per federal guidelines, and we offer many benefits including a flexible work schedule and $1000 professional development stipend!

 

CIRC is entering an exciting period of growth with new and enhanced programming, and we’re thrilled to bring on a Wellness Programs Coordinator to help drive this momentum! As a member of our Resident Services Team, you’ll play a vital role in empowering residents to maintain their independence, housing stability, and community connections. This dynamic position focuses on expanding and improving our food access and senior fitness programs, working closely with the Wellness Initiatives Program Manager to bring these initiatives to the next level. You’ll collaborate with residents to refer and connect them to food security resources while also providing vital support with data collection and program coordination, making a real difference every day. This is a grant-funded, 25 hour/week position with a one-year term (February 1st, 2025- January 30th, 2026). While funding is currently secured for one year, with the possibility of extension contingent upon future funding availability. 

 

Our Wellness Program Coordinators: 


Conduct food insecurity screenings and refer residents to relevant food access resources. Track successful connections to food access resources and support residents with overcoming barriers to accessing programs. Coordinate and support the expansion of senior fitness programs within King County. Fitness programs may include SAIL,Tai Chi, and chair-based yoga.  Help meet key deliverables for CIRC programs by implementing surveys, data collection, and process improvement for food access and senior fitness programs. Utilize agency database (Salesforce) and King County database (CORE) for timely tracking of programs. Promote the Mission, Vision and Values of Transforming Age in all areas of responsibility, and demonstrate commitment to Culture of Excellence and strategic goals Performs other duties as assigned.

What you need to succeed: 

 

HS Diploma or equivalent Two (2) years or more of combined work experience that includes: Experience with human service organizations specializing in food access and/or working with older adults. Ability to prioritize multiple projects under pressure with minimal supervision and manage competing responsibilities. Ability to work independently with residents and maintain high standards of professionalism, confidentiality, and compassion. Solutions-oriented approach with the demonstrated ability to proactively anticipate needs, offer solutions and act quickly with a clear sense of ownership. Effective oral and written communication skills. Strong attention to detail with superb organizational skills. Valid Washington State Driver’s license and reliable transportation (mileage will be reimbursed according to the current federal rate).

Physical Requirements: 

 

Simple grasping and fine manipulation, sitting at a desk, and using a computer for extended periods of time, moderate use of telephone, standing, walking, bending, and reaching. May require lifting or moving of objects up to 25 pounds.
