Summary: This position is responsible for interpreting sales and marketing data to create a targeted and effective print distribution plan for Menards. The position will obtain and verify media data and costs, utilize and understand proprietary software while demonstrating independent judgement to create the best possible media buy. Primary Responsibilities: Communicate frequently with Circulation team, newspaper contacts, printers and our media agency regarding the newspaper buy Interpret sales, customer, demographic, lifestyle and product data for purposes of creating an optimal media plan that specifically addresses clients needs Review current, recommend future newspaper buys based on media distribution data such as location, traffic patterns, rates, competitors, etc Review current and recommend future outdoor advertising (billboards) buys Negotiate with vendors regarding billboard programs Utilize software to create customized maps of various markets related to buy analyses Review, validate data and provide recommendations for new store openings, market reviews and post-event analysis Work closely with other departments such as Merchandising, Operations, and HR to execute marketing programs Assist in quoting print projects as needed Evaluate and resolve guest comment related issues Assist with store flyer copy tracking to ensure the stores are receiving their weekly flyers Gather data to analyze placement of media products within proprietary systems Analyze zip code coverage and how it affects our flyer versions to give recommendations Participate in projects and other incidental duties as assigned
