WORK SHIFT

Mon - Thurs; 6:30 am - 5:00 pm; on call every 3rd weekend (Fri/Sat/Sun)

JOB SUMMARY

The CIRV Radiology Technologist Cath Lab assists the Physician in performing a variety of specialized procedures (Cardiology, Interventional Radiology/Vascular, and Neurovascular) in the role(s) of radiology technologist, scrub, and/or hemodynamic monitoring. The CIRV Radiology Technologist demonstrates proficiency in the use of a variety of minor and computer related equipment. Additional expectations include, but are not limited to, room setup, patient positioning, and patient screening.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

For positions requiring education beyond a high school diploma or equivalent, educational qualifications must be from an institution whose accreditation is recognized by the Council for Higher Education and Accreditation.

Minimum Required: Graduate of a Radiology Technology School

Preferred/Optional: Bachelor’s degree in related field.

EXPERIENCE 

Minimum Required: Must have sufficient training and knowledge in CIRV or experience in a healthcare related field, to be able to take call for the department upon completion of orientation.

Preferred/Optional: Experience as a Technologist in a Cardiac Cath Lab, Electrophysiology Lab, or Interventional Radiology environment.

CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES 

The following licensure(s), certification(s), registration(s), etc., are required for this position.  Licenses with restrictions are subject to review to determine if restrictions are substantially related to the position.

Minimum Required:  Licensed as a Radiology Technologist by the State of Wisconsin. Current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification provided by the American Heart Association within three months of hire.

Preferred/Optional: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire.  The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Cardiac Interventional Radiography (CI) and/or Vascular Interventional Radiography (VI).
