Job Summary/Purpose
A core function of the Citrix Systems Administrator provides management, oversight and maintenance over the Citrix environment supporting a robust cross-functional user base of 15K+ users. The Citrix environment is critical to the successful operations across Entergy and the Citrix Administrator plays a crucial role not only in the maintenance of the Citrix environment, but also in its future state planning and management.
Job Duties/Responsibilities
Perform daily responsibilities to manage and administer Citrix environment, including projects to support users in the Citrix environment. Responsible for routine patch management and system maintenance. Assist in the design and implementation of future-state virtual end user computing environments. Responsible for escalations in support of customer/team escalations or related incidents. Responsible to maintain critical business operations of Citrix 24/7/365 which may require after-hours, additional hours, etc to support this critical environment. Responsible for Citrix policies and procedures, best practices, and correlated documentation. Responsible to provide required system reporting (audit, performance, etc).
MINIMIUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum Education Required for this Position.
BS/BA degree strongly preferred. Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or other technical area of study preferred.
Minimum Experience Required for this Position.
6+ years of experience managing a Citrix environment. In-depth experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of the Citrix Infrastructure Experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Storefront Server, Citrix User Profile Manager, Citrix Director, Citrix Studio, Citrix Machine Creation Services Specific and direct experience with at least one ticketing system (Service Now, Remedy, HEAT, etc.) Familiarity with business operations and best in class technology landscape
Knowledge/Skills/Capabilities Required for this position.
Professional Ability to perform daily responsibilities to manage and administer the Citrix environment. Ability to troubleshoot, with cross-functional teams, issues impacting Citrix users. Strong communication skills, including the ability to create and articulate technical concepts to non-technical users. Ability to work effectively with teams and resources in a multi-location, cross-functional, network/matrix environment. Ability to leverage continuous improvement practices to provide sustainable value to internal/external customers. Excellent multi-tasking and time management skills with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Readiness for 24/7 on-call when needed. Personal Style Has a high degree of integrity and forethought in approach to making decisions? Ability to act in a transparent and consistent manner while always considering what is best for the organization. Comfortable with ambiguity and uncertainty; the ability to adapt nimbly. Certifications/Licenses Required for this Position.
CCA, CCP, CCE or strongly preferred.
