Responsibilities Hudson Yards is currently seeking Seasonal part time City Climb Guides who ensure customer safety and satisfaction while guests navigate the climb experience. City Climb is the highest outdoor ascent in the Western Hemisphere! Guests will have an opportunity to experience an aerial adventure course on top of one of NYC’s tallest skyscraper. Reporting directly to Managers and Supervisors, City Climb Guides will also be responsible for guest registration, supplying equipment, education, and adherence to proper safety protocol. Communicates with guests to process registration and prepare for the excursion Educates guests on the climb course experience, proper technique and use of equipment, and safety guidelines Outfits participants with correct outerwear, safety equipment, makes adjustments to equipment, and properly attaches harness and trolley to climb track Inspects all safety equipment to ensure proper function Ability to assess and assist in possible emergency situations and help anxious participants Ensures the daily operation adheres to operating procedure guidelines Provides outstanding customer service while adhering to all safety procedures Ensures attraction adheres to the highest standards of safety, cleanliness, presentation, and service Must successfully complete annual climb course training that covers operating procedures and technical competencies Assists in other duties as assigned Compensation: $27.00 / Hour Qualifications 2+ years’ experience demonstrating strong customer service Must be comfortable being at heights of 1,000 feet or more on a skyscraper in all weather conditions for extended periods of time Must be comfortable speaking to strangers and conveying crucial safety protocols. Ability to multi-task and prioritize a variety of tasks with minimal direction Proven teamwork skills Enthusiastic and energetic Comfortable working in varying weather conditions Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
