City Engineering Lead

What this job involves:
Prioritizing the facilities’ needs—always
A seasoned expert in the field, the Engineer Lead is on top of all the mechanical, electrical, plumbing and civil works needed in a facility. Likewise, you’ll play an essential function in reducing workplace-related risks by working on maintenance contracts, routine inspections and scheduled down times. Ensure 100% uptime of all critical equipment.
You will be in close contact with local authorities for all facility-related issues. Also part of your scope is to ensure that the facility is in total compliance with all legal and engineering standards. Likewise, you’ll spearhead the implementation of energy programs to cut utility cost.
You’ll assume the role of a senior facilities manager when needed-overseeing small renovation projects from initial phases to completion. You’ll also keep an eye out on the facilities’ engineering systems by periodically inspecting logbooks, checklists and maintenance schedules.
Putting critical plans and reports in place
Planning is a big part of your mandate. In this role, you’ll take charge of planning and managing both engineering and operational budgets and contracts. Your expertise will also be essential in planning and developing a list of spare materials for all installations based on recommendations and inventories.
Performing various audits—including technical, cost savings, risk management and energy management--is part of your job as well. In addition, you’ll strive to keep down time at bay by setting up best practices that promote seamless service delivery to our clients.
Your analytical skills will also come in handy, as the role requires you to file both weekly and monthly reports on maintenance contracts, incident reports and improvement projects.

Managing E2E Engineering operationMonitoring / validating all maintenance related activities, PM and breakdown service reportsPlan for preventive maintenance of all installed equipment and ensure closure through vendorsManage equipment inventory, consumable tracker and plan for adequate stock of spares at siteSupport event management related activities in terms of engineering supportCoordination with Landlord on technical matters and having regular meeting/minutesImplement and monitor the energy conversation initiativesSupport Regional Engineering Lead in preparing the management reportsReview of trend analysis to identify areas of service improvementPerformance assessment of technical vendors and maintain updated escalation matrixConduct training for the technical teamHelp with Technical Audits for all installations at periodical intervalsManaging annual maintenance contracts and having regular meeting with vendors on quarterly basisImplementation of Global M&E procedures as & when requiredManaging Annual Budget plans (Opex and Capex)Supporting to PMO team for Capital projects & Transition ManagementPreparation and implementation of Annual Building Power down ActivitiesManage M&E scope of the projects to ensure the quality and deliverables within the stipulated timeReview the maintenance/service practices of M&E contracts to deliver quality work Practices in line with the manufacture’s recommendationResponsible to manage group email id for monitoring team response on the associate’s email for any BMS related assistanceResponsible for establishing up the maintenance contract to ensure risk mitigation to the client operationsReview of weekend activity, Monthly engineering score card, Monthly return, EHS Report, UPS Load details, Resilience Report, Daily Report, Vendor score card, daily work order tracker and monthly report on M&E covering the maintenance contract, spare parts, Consumption, incident reports etcEnergy management, saving, opportunities, risk management and engineering systems AuditsEnsure the implementation and management for risk and safety work and practices to reduce any interruption to operationsEnsure Compliance with statutory regulations on fire, health and safety standardsAssist REL to achieve goalConduct performance assessment of technical vendorsSupport REL for implementing process and support in site commissioningSound like you? Years of industry experience
What we’re looking for someone with tertiary qualifications in either Electrical/Mechanical/Civil Engineering essential with at least 6 – 8 years of experience in the field. A post-graduate degree in engineering or business is also a big plus. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have:
Knowledge / experience in Project & Site transitionStrong knowledge of occupational safety requirements and improvement initiativesStrong PC / system literacy with proven ability to manage daily activities using various systemsDemonstrated experience with client reporting and preparation of reportsComplete knowledge of office electrical / UPS circuit, Air-conditioning / AHU, D.G Set operation, layouts etc. and ability to troubleshoot the sameUndeniably superior soft skills
As the City Engineer Lead, you’ll demonstrate your expertise in interacting with a wide range of clients and staff - that’s why impeccable people skills will be a handy talent. Likewise, you must show your aptitude in developing improvement initiatives with ability to perform under pressure. You must also display flexibility in managing daily activities using various systems & possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport quickly. Excellent communication and leadership skill will be a must.
