AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil/Airport Engineer to join our East Aviation/Civil Engineering Team. This is an entry-level position and is based out either our of Nashville, Tennessee, Atlanta, Georgia, or Philadelphia, Pennsylvania locations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop grading, drainage, utility, pavement, geometry, and detail design plans and specifications, using computer modeling software, such as Civil 3D, Microstation, & Microsoft OfficeCollect and analyze data from multiple job sites, or locations, to incorporate into the design and layout of the design project (examples include rainfall data, survey data, testing data. etc.)Work hand in hand with the project manager to develop project cost estimates, based on performing quantity take-off (QTO) for the development project. Work with the project manager to establish project schedules, based on historical data. Work with the project manager, or other engineering staff, to develop schematic plans for future development projects. Work with regulatory agencies to validate the design plans and specifications conform to the standards.Communicate with the project manager, regulatory agencies, and the client to: 1.) Develop scope of work and develop the project; 2.) Acquire design standards or codes; and 3.) Update the client with the progress of the project,

QUALIFICATIONS

EXPERIENCE: 0-2 Years of professional experience in a civil engineering technical fieldEDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from ABET accredited college/universitySPECIAL SKILLS:Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.Math skills to perform simple calculations; willingness to learn.Proficiency in Microsoft Office.Experience with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).Proficient interpersonal and communications skills.Capability to develop technical writings and reports.PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: E.I. or E.I.T. preferred, or the ability to obtain
