Job DescriptionWe are seeking an experienced Civil CAD Drafter with a strong background in storm water management or site design to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in CAD drafting for civil engineering projects, particularly with storm water and site development projects. This role requires precision, a collaborative spirit, and a commitment to quality in producing detailed design drawings and project plans.
Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and develop detailed CAD drawings for civil engineering projects, with a focus on storm water management and site design.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to produce high-quality layouts, grading plans, storm water plans, and other project-specific designs.Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal standards in civil drafting and design.Review and revise drawings based on feedback from the project team, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.Assist in preparing preliminary and final design documents, including conceptual plans, construction drawings, and as-builts.Organize, maintain, and update CAD files and project records in line with company standards.
QualificationsAssociate degree in Drafting, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.1+ years of experience in civil CAD drafting with a focus on storm water management or site design.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil design software.Familiarity with storm water design standards, land development principles, grading, and drainage plans.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.Preferred SkillsKnowledge of GIS software and integration with CAD.Experience with additional CAD software like MicroStation.Understanding of hydrology and hydraulic modeling basics is a plus.
