Job Description
An established local civil engineering firm with multiple clients across the metro area seeks to hire a drafter with a minimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD redlines, working on civil projects. The candidate will work under close supervision to provide non-technical, routine, and basic support for assigned projects, using a computer as an aid to drafting.
ResponsibilitiesComplete detailed drawings from sketches, plans, specifications, and written and verbal instructions using CAD programs.Revise or change drawings; trace and/or copy existing drawings and complete simple calculations with specific instructions.Review work product for completeness and accuracy before returning it to the assignor.Maintain schedules and offer progress reports.Thrive in a collaborative team environment and apply critical thinking to deliver solutions.Demonstrate a desire for continued career growth and progression to becoming a CADD Technician II.Essential SkillsMinimum of 2 years of experience with AutoCAD redlines.Experience in drafting, roadway design, and stormwater design.Proficiency in creating plan sheets and plan sets with assistance from a CAD Manager.Ability to design base, street, and pipe layouts, line work to define curb, street, and sidewalk.Experience in creating survey base maps, profile views, and plan views (grid and annotation to show existing and proposed conditions).Familiarity with Microstation.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience with red lines and site development.Work Environment
This position is in an office setting, working closely with a CAD Manager and other engineering professionals. The company is an employee-owned business with deep-rooted relationships across the metro area with municipal clients. They offer services from drafting and design to civil engineering and land surveying.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $54000.00 - $65000.00
