Job Title: Civil CAD Technician
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Civil CAD Technician to join our team at the Bowling Green, KY office. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Civil Drafting with proficient experience using Civil 3D and AutoCAD. This role offers the opportunity to work on impactful Water and Wastewater projects, as well as Transportation and Stormwater projects, that directly impact the local community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with only a couple years of Civil Drafting experience to learn from experienced professionals in both Engineering and Design, while developing a robust set of skills that are highly competitive in today's marketplace.
Responsibilities
+ Collaborate with project engineers on design activities.
+ Support senior CAD specialists with 2D and 3D designs.
+ Prepare engineering drawings for construction.
+ Assist with quantity take-offs, Develop GIS figures, and Prepare report figures for projects.
+ Prepare water and wastewater construction drawings using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
+ Work with civil project engineers and project managers on design activities related to water distribution systems and wastewater collection systems.
+ Assist in field work when needed, including construction inspection and oversight, and surveying.
+ Support other related engineering and design needs as they arise.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of professional Civil Drafting experience
+ 3+ years of Civil 3D and AutoCAD experience
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in Land Survey, Site Development, Transportation, Water Resources, or Water/Wastewater System Design
+ Proficiency in Creating, Editing, Viewing, and Analyzing Surfaces within CAD software
+ Ability to create Grading Solutions and Gravity-Fed and Pressure Pipe Networks
+ Experience Creating and Editing Alignments, Sites, Profiles, and Cross-Sections
+ Proficiency in using Plan Production Tools to create Plan and Profile Sheets
Miscellaneous
+ This team currently consists of 18 CAD users, and they are planning to promote multiple CAD Managers in the coming years as the department continues to grow. Leadership makes an active and intentional effort to train and develop their employees within different Design software, different Design disciplines, and leadership/management skills, so that CAD users can continue to advance their capabilities and career as interested.
+ This team is separate from the Engineering team within the organization, so CAD professionals will report directly to other CAD users who are experts within their trades and passionate about the impact their roles have on projects.

Schedule
+ Standard schedule will include Monday through Thursday from 7am to 5pm EST; plus Friday from 7am to 11am EST. Candidates are also welcomed to work Monday through Friday from 8am to 5pm EST, if they prefer.
+ Employees average between 44-45 hours per week.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $41.50/hr.
