Job Title: Civil Design EngineerJob Description Design land development projects in Prince George's, Montgomery, and Howard Counties of Maryland. Utilize AutoCAD and Civil 3D to develop design concepts and plans in areas such as site layout, water and sewer mains, roads, soil erosion and sedimentation control plans, floodplain studies, and grading plans. Essential Skills + Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D + 3-5 years of experience designing with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation + Knowledge of Montgomery County permits + Willingness to visit client sites and engage in project management + Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required + E.I.T. preferred + Experience in Private Land Development preferred + Ability to work independently and in a group + Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook + Excellent verbal and written communication skills Additional Skills & Qualifications + Knowledge of Maryland and Northern Virginia jurisdictions and the District of Columbia + Experience in drainage and floodplain studies + Experience in site grading + Experience in storm drain and paving plans + Experience in stormwater management environmental site design + Experience in water and sewer plans Work Environment The office is located in Montgomery Village, Maryland, providing civil engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and land planning services throughout Maryland, the District of Columbia, and Northern Virginia. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
