We are seeking a Civil Designer to join our fast-growing Civil Engineering group in our either our Wilmington, Raleigh, Hillsborough or Asheville, NC offices. \n

Responsibilities:\n\nAnalyze and design civil engineering land development components under the project manager's direct supervision.\nProvide design calculations, technical reports, permit applications, and plan sets for storm drainage, sanitary sewer mains, stormwater control facilities, pressure networks, mass and fine grading, sediment and erosion control, and roadways.\nGenerate final design grading plans using Civil 3D features.\nEnsure all steps and procedures are followed throughout the local jurisdictional requirements.\nCoordinate with permitting agencies and respond to comments.\nSupervise construction administration-related duties such as meetings, site visits, responses to RFIs, and review of shop drawings.\nWork on multiple project tasks prioritizing responsibilities.\nManage deadlines for on-time submittals to maintain the overall project's schedule.\nEnhance final plan sets with exceptional attention to detail.\nActively assist in the Quality Control throughout the project.\nInterface with clients as required, including periodically updating project status.\nInspire a high level of performance from the team.\nMaintain client relationships.\n\n

Skills and Qualifications:\n\nBachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related technical certificate.\nPractical knowledge of land development design and methods\nProficiency with Civil 3D and associated design and modeling software.\nKnowledge of Civil Engineering design requirements and principles.\nAbility to read and interpret technical information.\nAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.\nAbility to work collaboratively with others.\nAbility to multi-task and prioritize.\nExcellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.\nAbility to work independently as well as on teams.\nValid Driver's license with a good driving record and ability to drive.\nMost work will require the ability to sit for extended periods, but on occasion, will visit job sites and be exposed to rough or uneven terrain, dust, noise, and fumes in various weather conditions.\n\n
