Job Description
The Municipal CAD Designer will be responsible for creating detailed design drawings and specifications for municipal infrastructure projects. This role involves collaborating with engineers, surveyors, and other team members to ensure accurate and efficient design solutions that meet regulatory standards and project requirements.
Hard SkillsDevelop and prepare detailed CAD drawings for municipal infrastructure projects, including roads, water and sewer systems, and public facilities.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to understand project scope, objectives, and design requirements.Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and standards.Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for design development.Review and revise drawings based on feedback from engineers, project managers, and other stakeholders.Utilize CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create and modify design drawings.Assist in the preparation of project proposals, cost estimates, and schedules.Soft SkillsCollaborate effectively with team members.Maintain organized project files and documentation.Participate in project meetings and provide technical support as needed.Work Site
This is a fully on-site position in Fort Worth, Texas.
Work Environment
Everyone has their own office, with a very open common area for collaboration. There is a separate area set up within the office where the field crews store equipment and work.
