Job Title: Civil Designer

Job Description

We are seeking a Civil Engineering Designer/Technician to join our team and contribute to the planning, design, entitlement, and construction of various land development and infrastructure projects across the United States. This role provides the flexibility to work from our Scottsdale office, remotely, or in a hybrid model. This is a full time role with full benefits-this is NOT a short term contract.

ResponsibilitiesAssist in the preparation of engineering drawings, plans, and specifications for civil engineering projects, including site development, transportation, and utilities.Utilize computer-aided design (CAD) software (e.g., AutoCAD, Civil 3D) to create detailed drawings and models based on project requirements and standards.Collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop design concepts, layouts, and construction details that meet project objectives and regulatory requirements.Gather surveys, topographic data, utility locations, local jurisdictional requirements, and zoning requirements for project planning and design.Analyze survey data and aerial imagery to assess site conditions, identify constraints, and develop design solutions that optimize land use and infrastructure layout.Assist in the preparation of technical reports, calculations, and design memoranda to support project planning, permitting, and regulatory compliance.Review and interpret engineering plans, specifications, and standards to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with project requirements.Maintain organized project files and documentation, including drawings, correspondence, and design revisions.Coordinate with internal teams, external consultants, and regulatory agencies to obtain necessary approvals and permits for project implementation.Communicate effectively with project stakeholders, including clients, contractors, and suppliers, to clarify design requirements, address inquiries, and resolve technical issues.Participate in project meetings, design reviews, and construction site visits to support project progress and ensure quality control.Essential SkillsAssociate degree or diploma in civil engineering technology or related field; bachelor’s degree preferred.At least 5 years of experience in the civil engineering field, preferably in the land development sector.Proficient in using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.Proven track record of successfully delivering complex and large-scale projects within scope, budget, and schedule.Strong technical knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and standards, including site grading, drainage, and utility design.Detail-oriented approach to work, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.Additional Skills & QualificationsExperience in commercial land development.Experience in project management.Experience in site development, drainage, grading, and design.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $38.00
