Job Title: Civil DesignerJob Description
We are seeking an experienced AutoCAD Civil 3D Designer. The ideal candidate will have at least an Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology, 10 or more years of experience, and mastery in Civil 3D software/design with the proven ability and desire to develop new designers.
Responsibilities
+ Prepare detailed civil site drawings, layouts, and diagrams of the design within the project scope, schedule, and budget, using Civil 3D.
+ Mentor and develop Civil Design staff within the Resource Business Group.
+ Work within the civil discipline for the Resource Business Group, with no direction from the Architect/Engineer or other technical professional.
+ Be responsible for their discipline model and generate the Civil elements based on the Level of Development (LOD) outlined in the Digital Delivery Plan (DDP) and project scope.
+ Create and maintain the civil model, systems, content, and overall digital delivery output.
+ Produce designs identified in the Digital Delivery requirements through AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
+ Mentor and develop the Digital Design staff within the civil discipline.
+ Accurately model Civil 3D elements within the correct spatial constraints of the modeling environment.
+ Maintain the civil discipline model, including project information, coordinates, scales, orientations, scope boundaries, match-lines, views, and sheets.
+ Produce discipline-specific documentation with accurate annotations on all modeling output.
+ Monitor, improve, and maintain company standards and model health.
+ Coordinate the design with other discipline models through Design Reviews and 3D Coordination processes.
+ Execute all Digital Delivery requirements identified on the project.
+ Contribute to the development of the business class digital needs.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD.
+ Experience in civil site design.
+ Leadership and mentorship experience.
+ 10+ years of experience in the field.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Associate's Degree in Engineering Technology.
+ Experience with grading, survey, Revit, and Navisworks.
Work Environment
This role offers a hybrid structure, allowing for a mix of work-from-home and in-office work. The location is flexible and can include Lexington, Louisville, Elizabethtown, or Chattanooga, depending on the situation. Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $40.00
