Job Description
An Architecture and Engineering firm located in Minneapolis is looking to expand their Civil Engineering team. This individual will partner with different departments and teams internally on multiple projects to complete site development plans for clients. The work involves preparing and creating construction documents that include storm water management and preliminary layout throughout the projects. Additionally, the scope of work includes roadway layout, parking layout, site grading, paving, and utility location and services. The individual will create these drawings using Civil 3D software. They will work on a wide variety of project types and sizes within a large architectural team and a small engineering group.
ResponsibilitiesPrepare and create construction documents for storm water management and preliminary layout.Work on roadway layout, parking layout, site grading, paving, utility location, and services.Collaborate with different departments and teams internally to complete site development plans.Utilize Civil 3D software to create drawings for various projects.Essential SkillsProficiency in Civil 3D software.5+ years of experience in civil engineering.3+ years of experience in land development.Experience in site development and land development.Strong design experience in civil engineering.EIT certification or equivalent experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsPrevious experience working at a full-service firm is preferred but not required.Experience within buildings and site development is preferred.Understanding of grading and site plans, including water resources.Work Environment
The civil engineering team is based in Minneapolis and Madison and is one of the smallest disciplines within the firm, comprising 6-7 people between engineers and designers. The team works on projects across the country and supports multiple office locations. The firm offers a hybrid work schedule with flexibility on in-office and remote work. The Minneapolis office, located in the North Loop, provides convenient parking options and is close to the light rail. Additionally, the firm offers optional summer hours on Fridays, provided that work is completed.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $39.00/hr.
