Summary: 

We currently have an opening for a Civil Engineer Entry Level in our Global Services Design Team. This position is located in our Marlborough, MA office. This position has the option of being in an office or hybrid depending on the candidate. 

Tetra Tech’s Global Services Design Team provides engineering services in support of the US Department of Defense through the U.S. Army, Air Force, and Navy, as well as other US Government agencies such as USAID and Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC), and to other allied foreign government agencies and international non-government organizations. Projects have generally included feasibility studies, design, rehabilitation/renovation, and construction of roads, energy solutions, airfields, waterfront facilities, buildings, water and wastewater infrastructure, wastewater reuse, and disaster relief services. 

This position would support the architecture and engineering services associated with the U.S. Department of Defense personnel, as well as allied foreign government agencies. Our engineers and architects deliver facility and utility planning, design, and construction phase services around the world, including remote locations. From buildings and utilities to airfield and waterfront facilities, Tetra Tech’s multidisciplinary expertise spans the full range of government projects. 

Your Role: 

Assist in the development of construction level design plans, specifications, and cost estimates Under supervision, will perform site and roadway layout, grading, drainage infrastructure calculations and report development Assist in the layout and design of water distribution and waste water collection systems Utilize various design codes for US DoD and Host Nations Assist in the preparation of Master Development plans and engineering studies Coordinate design work with architecture and other engineering disciplines throughout the design process Review construction shop drawings and requests for information. 

Qualifications: 

BS in Civil Engineering Zero to one years of engineering experience with a focus on site design Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and have strong interpersonal skills Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) certification, preferred Familiarity with Autodesk Civil 3D and HydroCAD, preferred Detail oriented with good time-management and computer skills Due to the clients we serve this position requires US Citizenship or Permanent Residence Card Must be able to pass background screening including criminal history, credit check etc. 

Additional Information: 

You may be required drive on an occasional basis for business purposes, to do this, you will need a valid driver’s license, pass a motor vehicle record (MVR) background check, and maintain a safe driving record.

The salary range for this position is $62,000 to $73,000.
