Our West geography is looking for an experienced **Civil Engineer** in **Los Angeles** to play a vital role on a variety of exciting site development and civil infrastructure projects. **The Opportunity:** • Design of site development, grading, utilities, roadway, drainage and other key elements of civil engineering projects • Prepare hydraulic and hydrologic analyses and develop stormwater water management strategies and plans • Carry out site assessments and develop design schemes for new construction or redevelopment projects • Prepare and review drawings ranging from conceptual and feasibility studies to detailed design and construction documents • Build 3D models in a BIM design environment and perform design optimizations, quantity evaluations, and clash detections • Perform system design calculations and prepare technical reports for internal and external purposes based on findings • Work with the local agencies to understand their land use and permit processes • Coordinate with internal and external design partners including SMEP, architecture and landscape architecture, geotechnical engineering, transportation planning, urban planning, environmental engineering, and cost engineering • Perform construction phase engineering support • Participate in proposal writing and marketing activities **The Skills** • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s Degree preferred. • California EIT license, PE preferred • 4+ years of experience in civil engineering/site development • Knowledge of core civil engineering fundamentals such as hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, low impact development, utility design, grading and earthwork, roadway and geometric alignments, and accessibility standards. • Working knowledge of civil engineering design and analysis software, particularly AutoCAD Civil 3D. • A commitment to sustainable design practices • Strong interpersonal and communication skills **Notable Projects and Digital Solutions** • California High Speed Rail Stations • LAX Roadways, Utilities, and Enabling Works • UCSF New Hospital at Parnassus Heights • CP2 Bart to Silicon Valley • Presidio Trust Long Range Utility Implementation Strategy Please note that all applicants must apply directly via the job portal. Benefits are not included in the base salary.
