Civil Site Engineer - Fort Wayne, IN

We are actively hiring a Civil Engineer to join a Civil Site Development team in Fort Wayne, IN! This person will partner with experienced Civil Engineers and Civil Designers for Land Development projects with a variety of Clients in Indiana and Ohio.

Projects Oversight:

The majority of projects will be Private Development projects, such as Residential Subdivisions, Commercial and Retail Sites, Multi-Family Sites (apartments, condos), and Industrial Sites. Projects may require responsibilities and previous experience related to Drainage, Site Layout, Grading, Stormwater Collection, Erosion Control, Utility Placement, Streetscape Design, and Landscape Design. This person will partner with fellow Engineers and Designers to produce Construction Plans and ensure project success through various stages, including anything from Site Analysis to Construction Oversight. Specific responsibilities will include: Site Analysis and Planning; Design Development; Regulatory Compliance; Project Management; Technical Documentation; Permitting; Construction Oversight; Client Communication; Problem Solving; and ensuring Sustainability Practices.

Job Responsibilities:

Conduct Site Assessments to determine Suitability for Construction Projects, including Environmental Impact Studies and Feasibility Analysis.Create detailed Site Designs, including Grading, Drainage, Roadways, Utilities, and other Infrastructure Elements.Ensure Designs comply with Local, State, and Federal Regulations, including Zoning Laws, Building Codes, and Environmental Regulations.Coordinate with Architects, Contractors, and other Stakeholders to ensure Project Timelines and Budgets are met.Monitor Construction Activities to ensure Compliance with Design Specifications and Quality Standards.Act as Liaison to Clients to understand their needs and provide updates on Project Progress.Assist in the Preparation and Submission of Permit Applications to relevant Authorities.Prepare and Review Technical Drawings, Specifications, and Reports.Address any issues that arise during the Design and Construction phases.Incorporate Sustainable Design Principles to minimize environmental impact.

Job Requirements:

Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, Landscape Architecture, or Related Discipline1-5 Years of Experience in Site Development, Stormwater, or Water/Wastewater EngineeringProfessional Experience using AutoCAD Civil 3D

Compensation and Schedule:

This team works in Fort Wayne, IN, and has a nice but small office with a more laid back environment.This is a standard Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm EST schedule. There is some flexibility on start and end times.Target pay is $33-39/hour. This depends on a candidate's specific relevant experience, and is negotiable.This team would consider candidates with more than 5 years of experience, and pay accordingly.
