Role description:
Arcadis is looking for a Civil Engineer to join our Resilience Water Team in South Florida!
We are looking for a candidate with experience ranging from concept level planning to the preparation of detailed engineering designs and construction specifications for heavy civil infrastructure projects. Project examples for this role may include demolition, rehabilitation and/or new construction of levees, floodwalls, waterways, reservoirs, locks, dams, drainage systems, and roadways. There will be a focus on project layout, geometrics, and survey control; grading and drainage design; subsurface utility coordination and relocation; pavements, ground improvement measures, and slope stabilization systems; and erosion and sediment control measures.
Role accountabilities:
As a Civil Engineer, you will be responsible for preparing engineering reports, design calculations, design drawings, contract specifications and using guidelines from federal and/or state agencies and overseeing the preparation of construction quantity takeoffs and construction cost estimates. You will have the ability to think in an innovative and entrepreneurial manner to deliver the very best solutions to our clients.
Additional responsibilities include:
Experience with preparing the civil drawings and specifications for heavy civil construction projects to ensure compliance with contracts, drawings, specifications, codes, statutes, rules, and regulations. Ability to oversee the work of CADD Drafters and junior engineers, and actively coordinate and collaborate with other disciplines and take the lead in delivering integrated designs and construction documents. Disciplined approach to file management and quality process documentation. Communicate with clients, establishing goals and objectives for project teams, and scheduling and coordinating resources to deliver projects on time, within budget, and to the performance expectations of the client. Navigate local and state permitting requirements to obtain regulatory approval for projects.Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or relate field from an ABET accredited school. 2 years of related experience EIT LicensePreferred Qualifications
Experience in the civil design of infrastructure projects in addition to site development and utilities experience. Technical proficiency in either of the following civil design tools and the corresponding CAD platform: Bentley® OpenRoads Designer (MicroStation Connect Edition), AutoDesk® Civil 3D (AutoCAD). Excellent professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to participate in and facilitate group meetings.Why Arcadis?

We offer nine paid holidays and 15 days PTO that accrue per year. The salary range for this position is $61,200 - $106,200/year. Actual salaries will vary and are based on several factors, such as experience, education, budget, internal equity, project and location.
