Civil Engineer
Job Title: Civil EngineerJob Description Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to design site grading and utility improvements for new and existing churches, commercial sites, and other projects. Responsible for the development and completion of proposals, permits, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. Perform stormwater management designs and obtain stormwater management permits. Responsibilities + Design site grading and utility improvements using AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Develop and complete proposals, permits, construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. + Perform stormwater management designs and secure necessary permits. + Collaborate with the Land Development Manager and team members on various land development projects. + Assist in the preparation of hydraulic reports. + Ensure compliance with municipal and state permitting processes through MWRD, IDNR, USACE, IEPA, IDOT, and other relevant agencies. Essential Skills + Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D. + Experience in site development, civil engineering, and stormwater management. + Knowledge of site grading, land development, and civil design. + Familiarity with HydroCAD and StormCAD. + BS in Civil Engineering. + At least 3 years of experience in Civil Land Development or Municipal Engineering. + PE licensure in the State of Illinois, or the ability to obtain it within a year. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with permitting through MWRD, IDNR, USACE, IEPA, IDOT, and other municipal or state agencies. + Experience in the preparation of hydraulic reports. + Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. + Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Work Environment This position operates on a hybrid schedule with 2-3 days in the office and remote work on Mondays and Fridays. The main office is located in Naperville, with an additional office in downtown Chicago. The team prefers candidates to work from the Naperville office at least once a week, especially at the start.
