Job Title: Civil Designer/ Drafter Job Description Join a dynamic team specializing in civil engineering and surveying. Our medium-sized firm works on a wide range of projects including municipal contract work, commercial and retail design, as well as roadways, grading, drainage, water resources, and some sewer and wastewater projects. We are looking for a skilled Civil Engineer to prepare base maps from field survey data, develop plans and specifications for private and municipal projects, and perform civil design work under the supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer. Responsibilities + Prepare base maps from field survey data for various survey and civil projects. + Develop plans and specifications for private and municipal projects. + Perform civil design work for roadways, municipal buildings, powerplants, commercial and retail buildings under the supervision of a Registered Professional Engineer. + Collaborate with Project Managers and project stakeholders. + Adhere to and assist in the development and improvement of company CADD Standards. + Conduct utility research and coordination. Essential Skills + Proficiency in Civil 3D and AutoCAD. + Experience in site design, land development, and roadway design. + 4+ years of design/drafting work with AutoCAD & Civil 3D. + Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or Drafting and Design Technology preferred, but candidates with commensurate work experience will be considered. Additional Skills & Qualifications + Experience with A&E software such as Bluebeam. + P.E. License in the state of Ohio.
